Timber harvesting that suits your forest
Timber felling, often called timber harvesting, is the planned felling, delimbing and cross-cutting of trees, together with staging the timber at the road. We do it in two ways, depending on what the stand and terrain call for, from thin small-diameter timber to strong old-growth.
Fully mechanised with the harvester
On accessible ground the harvester fells, delimbs and cross-cuts the trees in a single pass. It is fast, gentle on the soil and delivers cleanly sorted assortments, ideal for thinnings and larger harvest volumes.
Manually with the chainsaw
Where the machine cannot reach, in tight, steep or tricky spots, Rudi works with the chainsaw. That way even single trees and difficult places can be felled safely and cleanly.

From our base in Dorfstetten we work across two federal states, the Lower Austrian Mostviertel and the Upper Austrian Mühlviertel.
For forest owners, farmers, municipalities and businesses we handle the entire timber harvest, from thinning to final cut. We work fully mechanised with modern harvesters and, where the machine cannot reach, manually with the chainsaw. Always gentle on the soil and considerate of the remaining stand, so your forest keeps growing healthily after the felling.

We are here for everyone with timber to harvest, within around 50 km. In Lower Austria mainly in the districts of Melk, Amstetten, Scheibbs, Waidhofen an der Ybbs, Zwettl and Krems-Land, and in Upper Austria in the Mühlviertel around Perg and Freistadt.
